Sarah Copren

Sarah Copren is Head of Trading for Franklin Equity. She trades merger arbitrage, distressed debt, and special situations and co-manages a group of six traders who execute equity and derivative trades in the US, Europe and Asia. The group trades foreign currency (FX), cash/treasuries, options, futures, high yield/distressed debt, bank debt, reorganization equity and merger arbitrage all from their location in Short Hills, New Jersey. She is also a member of the Global Best Execution Committee and the Global Trade Oversight Committee.

Ms. Copren joined Franklin Templeton in 2006 as an international equity and derivatives trader and became Co-Head of Trading for Franklin Mutual Series in 2025. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton Ms. Copren was a sales trader for Lehman Brothers where she focused on special situations including risk arbitrage, equities, options and swaps.

Ms. Copren earned a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
